Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Mack Direct website and govern your use of our website and services.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Mack Direct

Mack Direct Ltd (“Mack Direct”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a UK-based retailer specialising in gaming PCs, refurbished PCs, computer components, upgrades and related services.

Business: Mack Direct Ltd
Email: contact@mackdirect.com
Telephone: 01563 634324

Our registered company details and registered office address can be found on the relevant company records and will be provided on request where required.

2. Products and descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images and prices displayed on our website are accurate.

For refurbished and used products, individual items may show signs of previous use. Any significant cosmetic condition issues or known defects will be described in the relevant product listing.

Product images may be for illustrative purposes where stated. Components within a PC may occasionally differ from photographs where an equivalent or upgraded component is supplied. Any material specification differences will be communicated where appropriate.

3. Product availability

All products are subject to availability.

Adding an item to your basket does not guarantee that the item will remain available until your order is completed.

If we are unable to fulfil an order after it has been placed, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer an alternative or provide a full refund.

4. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in GBP (£).

The price payable is the price displayed at the time you place your order, unless there has been an obvious pricing error.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is dispatched. If an item has been purchased at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before fulfilling the order.

Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed during the checkout process.

5. Placing an order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected.

An order confirmation confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

A contract for the sale of goods is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted and the goods are dispatched, unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including suspected fraud, significant pricing errors or inability to obtain the product.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Orders will normally only be processed once payment has been successfully authorised.

We do not have access to or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed through the relevant payment provider.

7. Delivery

Our delivery information is provided on our Delivery Information page.

Ready-to-ship products are normally dispatched within 1 working day. Most ready-to-ship orders are delivered within approximately 3 working days, although delivery times can vary.

Custom-built or made-to-order systems may require up to 10 working days to complete and deliver.

Orders are normally dispatched Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

We generally use DPD for deliveries, although we may use another suitable courier where appropriate.

Once an order has been dispatched, tracking information will normally be provided.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed otherwise.

8. Custom-built PCs

Where you order a PC that is built or configured specifically for you, the system may be assembled, tested and configured before dispatch.

We may substitute a component where necessary if the specified component becomes unavailable, provided that the replacement is of equivalent or better specification. Where a material change is necessary, we will contact you where appropriate.

Custom-built products remain subject to your statutory consumer rights and any applicable cancellation rights.

9. Returns and cancellations

Our Returns & Refunds Policy provides further information about cancelling an order and returning products.

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may generally have a legal right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving goods, subject to applicable exceptions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits your statutory rights.

Certain services or products may have different cancellation provisions where permitted by law, particularly where a service has already been fully performed with your agreement or where goods have been made to your specific requirements.

10. Faulty or defective products

If a product develops a fault, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Consumers have statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of UK consumer law.

We may ask for photographs, videos or other information to help diagnose an issue before arranging a return.

Where a product needs to be returned for inspection, we will provide appropriate instructions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your statutory rights.

11. Used and refurbished products

Used and refurbished products may have previously been owned or used.

Where applicable, cosmetic condition, wear and included accessories will be described in the product listing.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, used and refurbished products are supplied with the same statutory consumer protections as other products.

12. PC upgrades and installation services

Where you purchase an upgrade or installation service, compatibility should be confirmed before the work is carried out.

We will take reasonable care when installing components supplied by us.

If you send your own PC or components to us for work, you should ensure that any important personal data is backed up before sending the equipment.

We are not responsible for loss of data that occurs where reasonable care has been taken, so customers should always maintain their own backups.

Where an existing component is found to be faulty or incompatible during an upgrade, we will contact you before carrying out additional chargeable work where reasonably possible.

13. Customer-supplied equipment

Where you send your own PC, components or other equipment to Mack Direct for inspection, repair or upgrading, you remain responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate backups of your data.

We will take reasonable care of customer property while it is in our possession.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden damage or failures that were not caused by our work.

14. Warranties

Where a product is supplied with a specific Mack Direct warranty, the duration and terms of that warranty will be stated on the relevant product listing or documentation.

Any manufacturer's warranty that applies to a product is separate from your statutory consumer rights.

A warranty does not affect your rights under applicable consumer law.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

For business customers, additional limitations may apply where permitted by law.

16. Events outside our control

We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include, for example:

  • Severe weather
  • Courier disruption
  • Strikes
  • Natural disasters
  • Power or telecommunications failures
  • Government restrictions
  • Supplier shortages
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Where possible, we will keep you informed of significant delays.

17. Website use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only.

You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems
  • Introduce malicious software
  • Use the website for fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • Copy or reproduce website content for commercial purposes without permission

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect our business, customers or systems.

18. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Mack Direct website, including text, branding, graphics, photographs, logos and other material, belongs to Mack Direct Ltd or is used with permission.

You may view and use the website for personal purposes, but you must not reproduce, modify or commercially exploit our content without our written permission.

19. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may need to share relevant information with payment providers, delivery companies, technology providers and other service providers where necessary to process and fulfil your order.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to your order will generally be the version displayed on our website at the time the order is placed.

Any changes will not affect rights that you have already acquired under an existing order.

21. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you will retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law applicable to your circumstances.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts, subject to applicable consumer rights.
